TESS LLC is a leading marine electrical company specializing in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex electrical systems on large yachts. We are seeking an experienced Marine Electrician who enjoys problem-solving and wants to work beyond routine installations.
This role is ideal for technicians who are strong in electrical fundamentals and interested in developing deeper diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise on advanced yacht systems.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot and diagnose AC/DC electrical systems, power distribution, generators, and yacht automation systems
Read and interpret schematics and system diagrams
Identify electrical faults methodically and safely
Communicate findings and solutions clearly with team members and clients
Work alongside experienced technicians, Senior Technical Managers, and Engineering support
Perform some service and refit work, with increasing focus on advanced troubleshooting as skills grow
Experience & Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of marine electrical experience (yacht or commercial)
Solid understanding of electrical theory
Strong troubleshooting mindset
Ability to read electrical schematics
Professional communication skills
Preferred (but not required):
Large yacht experience
Sea-going ETO or Electrical Engineer background
Industrial or commercial electrical experience with marine crossover
ABYC certification(s)
Compensation & Benefits
$38–$45/hour, based on experience and diagnostic ability
