Coastal Marine LLC seeks a full-time, year-round Marine Mechanic/Service Tech for immediate start. As a Marine Technician you will be responsible for diagnosing, and repairing boats and engines brought to our yachting center for service in addition to performing scheduled maintenance and conducting quality checks on work performed to ensure that repairs are made correctly the first time. Marine Mechanic/Technician Qualifications

• Have a general understanding of the Diagnostic Process, Two Stroke and Four Stroke, Gas and Diesel, Electrical Diagnostics, and general shop processes.
• Have a clean driving record
• A very strong attention to quality work and detail
• Be able to work independently or with a team
• Be able to work in both in-door and outdoor environments
• ABYC, and manufacturer certifications an advantage.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize and work unsupervised.
• Must carry own tools
• The Marine/Service Technician is responsible for the repair and overhaul of boats, yachts and its machinery
• Diagnose, test, repair, replace, remove, and install marine engines, ship's systems, electronics and electrical equipment.
• Assess projects, budget time, determine/source parts required
• Ability to commission all types of vessels
• Examine boat and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the service writer, yard manager or customer.
• Perform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines not under manufactures warranty, hydraulic systems, pumps, fresh, grey and black water systems, steering, running gear, shafts, props, alignments, shaft/ rudder seals, water makers and electrical components
• Remove engine, transom or outdrive, disassemble unit and inspect parts for wear, replace batteries, blowers, generators, starters, pumps, electrical and fuel systems, rewire lighting systems and distribution panels
• Complete repair work within the established timeframe
• Safely operate customer vessels during diagnostic water testing operations
• Maintain tools in good condition and according to guidelines
